And just like that, it’s the first dayclean in May. I had a dream about I was writing my profile on some page and I used servant leadership. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that’s the meditation topic for today. I’m jamming to Lionel Richie’s Stand Down to get things going.

I don’t easily embrace most forms of leadership - I think the large-loud-and-in-charge approach has been more costly than beneficial for our societies. But servant leadership works for me. The servant leader does not go ahead just so she can get there before others; instead, the servant leader goes ahead to show the way, and to hold space so others can get there too. Sometimes a leader has to take a step back or even stand down, so those following can see their own way forward. #SheLeads
