Access Restricted & Womanist WinsDay; The Lands End Ladies

It’s another Womanist WinsDay and we have another wonderful episode on our mother-daughter series for the DDQ podcast. I’m so honored to share this conversationwith the Land’s End Ladies! Service to others was a big part of our discussion, and this dayclean I’m meditating on to balance and manage access in my life.

I’ve realized that as I continue accomplishing my work with excellence, style, integrity and grace, I become more and more in demand. My personal and professional connections seek to spend more and more of my time and resources, and not with malice but often without much regard for my own needs and goals. This is why many get an ‘access restricted’ response when they attempt to place themselves on my high priority list. I know this is a luxury our ancestors ʳ especially our Queen Mothers ʳ usually did not have. I give thanks thanks for the ability and freedom to deny access to my body, mind, time and other resources as needed. #accessrestricted
