Over the Influence

U Make My Sunshine is probably a lesser-known piece from the phenom himself, Prince, partnered up with the amazing Angie Stone. Prince wrote it in spring of 2001, and the lyrics are unbelievably timely: “I gotta stop letting the devil tell me what it takes to be a woman.”

Whew. Lordt. We have so many influences and influencers in our lives QueenSiS. But we don’t always really know the source and the purpose served; and often times the powers behind the influence are the rich who need us to lose in order for them to win.
