Years That Ask, Years That Answer

One of my favorites for all time, the one and only Tracy Chapman is having a ‘revival’ of sorts in some circles; I’m glad because this soul has such valuable insight to share, and beautifully so. In At This Point In My Life, she wishes “…as if the search to live honestly is all that anyone needs, no matter if you find it.” Yes, please, and thank you.

I am convinced it will take years upon years for me to “know” anything about this life, and then years upon years more to grow into that which I come to know. Pray that I’m able to manage this expectation and lean into the practice of seeking. I can go with love ‘back to old landmark’, in the Gullah/Geechee tradition of seeking divine guidance for questions and answers on my life’s journey. #AskAndAnswer
