Loving

I wonder how many songs about love are in the world today? Probably thousands or more. Love is the thing we often sing about, but I’m meditating on what it truly takes to love.

I wish I’d known from the start just how sacrificial love is and how hard it can be to arrive in love each day. I’m learning that in loving relationships, especially intimate partnerships, it is useful to carve all the reasons why I chose to love in stone, so even if that stone should one day fall off the shelf of my heart, it will not break apart into thousands of irreconcilable pieces. Carve the good in stone and reference it often…but write the bad in sand where the waves of time and prayer can wash them away QueenSiS. #loving
