Minding My Business

I’ve been slowly but surely working on a family tree project - I want to learn more about the generations before me, and especially the women. I just know I’ll find more than a few business women in my ancestral family line, and they will have some valuable things to tell me about my enterprises.

I want to fully leverage this kind of legacy, and intentionally resist the temptation to see leadership in business as a role more appropriate for men. Beyond mere finances, I’m coming to understand how important it is for women to own our shops, land, and intellectual property, for security, community profit and self-determination.
