Interdependence

Dayclean the day after US Independence Day and I’m meditating on the African concept of Ubuntu - “I am because we are.” It’s a far cry from the fabled ‘rugged American independence’ but it is my preference for sure. Putting me in the mind of the dynamic duo Bebe and CeCe Winans’ I can depend on you.

It’s not always east being We; the full fruit of the spirit is often necessary to be in community with others QueenSiS. But I’ve found the benefits usually outweigh the costs. There is comfort, safety, help, multiplying effect of joint efforts, good counsel, and joy in community. #WeAre
