Gifted and Talented

I’m jamming to MJB’s Work That as I prepare my mind and body for work this dayclean. Giving thanks for the brilliant gifts and talents I have to use and share in this life. And for the ability to appreciate the brilliance others bring to the table, without having to imitate them.

It may be tempting to try to replicate something that someone else appears to do very well with ease. But what looks easy may have required years of practice by a particular person to execute flawlessly. I’ve also learned if I spend my time trying to imitate the gifts of others, I won’t have time to really show the world my own unique contributions.
