How to Eat to Live
I love to eat, so I’m always thinking about food! But this dayclean I’m meditating on the connections between food, health, and abundant living. My post title is inspired by Nation of Islam’s books How to Eat to Live.
I’m learning that one major thing I can do to grow older more gracefully is to eat as much locally produced food as possible. That means growing some of my own, maintaining good relationships with other local farmers, and preserving more food like our ancestors did. I see the beauty and the benefit of making clear connections between what I eat and the quality of my life, as well as my community. Good local food can be a tool to heal the body, and help heal the community so we can all live a more abundant life. #EatToLive
