God Bless the Child

Meditating on one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had in life this dayclean: parenting. QueenSiStar Regina Belle’s If I Could has been a favorite of mine since 10th grade, but I didn’t really figure out the weight of that song until about ten years ago, as my son fully entered his young adult stage.

Mom, auntie,grand and godparents - no matter the title, we all help raise the next generation in one way or another. Melancholy as it may seem, my big goal is that my son and all the young people in my circle will eventually be able to live (and not just survive but thrive) without me. God grant me the wisdom, patience, and spirit of discernment to support the next generation! #forthefuture
