Makers Will Make It

Meditating on the markets this dayclean. It is deeply discouraging to read reports and hear first hand how Black women as a collective are bearing so much of the brunt of this maliciously manipulated job market. But give thanks for the beauty and bounty of our beloved Mother Earth, and cue up SiStar MC’s Make It Happen.

Because while there probably has never been any real “good job security” for us, there are some constants we can rely on. The value of making something out of what is available in nature (and within our own nature) is ‘evergreen’. I believe we who can see beauty and function in the creative crafts of building, farming, sewing, designing, braiding, painting, arranging and more, we will make it (pun intended!). #MakersWillMakeIt
