Don’t Wait

The old saints say’ life is uncertain but death is for sure.’ And I know that’s right. Like one of my favorite lines in QueenSiStar Lila Ike’s Where I’m Coming From, I pray for health and strength and life and length and peace of mind, for me and mine!

But since there are no promises on tomorrow, I’m also learning to practice a ‘don’t wait to love’ approach in my daily journey. I don’t have to wait to call friends, or stop by and see elders, or stop and smell flowers, or give flowers. I can do these small acts of love when and where me and my loved ones can most appreciate it: on this side QueenSiS. #LiveLoveNow
