A Little Light

I’m mediating on how light works this dayclean. It is good to be reminded of how just a small candle can illuminate an otherwise dark space.

We just wrapped up a week-long sustainable farmers conference, after a week of ‘freeze or cancellation’ notifications for much of the funding that makes a lot of our work possible. It can be easy to fall into the mindset that our under-funded efforts at stewardship of little patches on earth won’t amount to much when compared to the thousands of acres under control by cash-rich and policy-preferred commercial agriculture businesses.  But I’m  choosing to do what Angelika Belle recommends in Turn on Your Light. I’m choosing to believe that a little light is going to go a very long way in these dark spaces. #LightWork
