Never Give Up

Friday and I’m feeling what the old saints call bone tired, and dangerously close to running away from home, even at my big age. But give thanks for the DDQ and today’s reminder of commitment. Time to turn up brother Jaheim’s Fabulous and never, ever, ever give up.

The hurdles of centuries-long injustice can seem too high to jump over, over and over again. But as the song suggests, we really are all we got in the final analysis. No one else is going to see to the work of our family and community like we will; no one wants and needs a future marked by justice, peace, healing, beauty, joy and abundance for our collective more than we do. And we will get there for sure, as long as we don’t give up. #NeverGiveUp
